Distance from the ship was around 3 hours up and 2.5 hours back, a bit too much time sitting in the bus, we could have used that time to look around more in Saigon. Traffic is horrendous, you need to learn how to cross the road. Our guide took us and showed us, how it was done. There are some beautiful buildings, great shopping.
We have been there a couple of times and decided just to go shopping. A visit to the museum is a must. Interesting display about cyclone Tracy and they have an enormous crocodile on display.
