WE had to tender to this port, but no problem,. Lots of yachts and thus restaurants on the pier to attend to the yachters. On the last weekend of the month of October ( 23-24) the shops are closing down so have a huge sidewalk sale and there are some great deals! The town is actually not very exciting aside form that
Elba has Portoferrario, which is the hilly town where Napolean had a house . The house overlooks the sea and has a great view. The house itself is a bit rundown, as is the gardens. If you get a chance to rent a car, the island itself has fabulous views. Good Internet cafe across from the pier
