The island train is interesting, but maybe too expensive booked through the ship. It's noisy (screeching wheels) and smelly (diesel engine), but there are some interesting sights.
We did the whale/dolphin watch rather than going to Trafager Falls ... go to the Falls. We only saw 3 sperm whales and no dolphins. When we were coming in early in the morning, we had about 10-12 dolphins running along side that was fun!! A very friendly island that we'd like to visit again!
This was the 'throw in' when we couldn't go to St. Lucia due to Hurricane Tomas. Very unfriendly island. No one welcomed you and few spoke English to you ... just French.
Friendly and thankful that you're there. Since we didn't see Trafalger Falls on Dominica, we did the Spice and Waterfall tour with one of the locals. It was very interesting, but the waterfall was small. We elected not to hike in 45 minutes to the better ones. Another very friendly island!
Always a wonderful time. We did an island tour through Summers Tours with Sergio as our driver/tour guide. With the collapse of the natural bridge, the tour has changed, but for $15, this is a great bargain!!
