Been here before. Beaches and snorkeling the thing to do. Take the city bus, just outside port to great snorkeling beach and only $2 not $20 cabs charge.
We were here before, snorkeling great at beach at Westbutt just take city bus, only $2 and about 45 minute ride to the most beautiful setting at western end of island. Went into town and crossed bridge and had a beer - no shopping for us.
Never been here before. A beautiful island. Great waterfalls, interesting tour by taxi and got a good overview. The spice tour was interesting and as first timers it is a must to take a tour. we than went to a beach and did some amazing snorkeling and then took a water taxi back to ship. We would like to come again and have more time. The hurricane Tomas hit the island before we got there but not too much damage.
The best. Hired private cab to take us around and views were spectacular. Must see Pirates of Caribbean movie location. Then on to unspoiled beach for snorkeling. We are coming back here for sure.
Skipped St. Thomas per se and took boat to Trunk Bay on St. John. The most beautiful place of all. Snorkeling on the park trail excellent, just not enough time.
This was a substitute port as Santo Domingo closed because of storm, but we had a good time here. Went jogging, shopping and bar hopping. Old town is a fun place. Have been here many times and from what I here, we probably got lucky to miss Santo Domingo.
