Kusadasi
Port Rating:
We used Hello Ephesus as recommended on Cruise Critic. We selected our own itinerary. In retrospect I would have eliminated House of the Virgin Mary. Temple of Artemis is just one Grecian Column, but this only takes 5 minutes. Sirince is a quaint little Turkish town. I would like to have seen more of Kusadasi and maybe have gone on the beach. Ephesus is definitely the highlight and the Terrace Houses are the highlight of the highlight. Wear good shoes, hat and sunscreen. Hello Ephesus is a wonderful company to work with. Ask for Ergen as a guide, he's the best.

Haifa
Port Rating:
This port is awesome because there is a train station right at the port and you can go anywhere for a bargain. Tel Aviv is a 1 hour train ride, Jerusalem is a 3 hour train ride because there no direct trains. English is spoken by most people so it's easy to get around. You get a real flavor of the country by this excursion.

Alexandria
Port Rating:
Toured with Ramses Tours. First day was 1/2 day tour of Alexandria with Noura, and the second day, Cairo, all day, with Samah. Tour guides both days EXTREMELY beautiful, bright, respectful of senior citizens. Made sure we saw all there was to see. Although it was not always easy to understand their English their beauty made up for it, and they were more than happy to answer questions. Ramses did not specify how our tour should be paid for. We assumed we could use a credit card, but no, they only accept cash. Since we did not have that much cash with us the day, they said we could pay the second day for both trips. The drivers are amazing and the vans were beautiful and clean. We felt safe everywhere we went in spite of all we read about Egypt. The traffic and number of people on the street makes NYC look tame.
