Cagliari Sardinia. We went to this port after a day at sea instead of Tunisia due to the lack of fresh water in Tunisia. The port was spotless, some great buildings. Clean and friendly town. Well worth a visit to the shops or just to stroll. A lot of uphill to the top of the town but well worth the effort, the views are magnificent.
Back to Olbia in Sardinia. As with the first port it is clean, friendly and well worth a visit. It has some designer shops but little else. Very typical Sardinia.
What can you say. I have been here three times and it is great. Well worth a full day in the city.Shops and architecture are wonderful. Visit the fruit/fish indoor market and see how the Spanish do it. All their produce was presented perfectly. We were warned about pick pockets here but we have never seen any problem, but beware.
As with Barcelona this is a great city. Pity that we had an early departure and could not visit though we had a day while on the first week. Some great shops in the older part of the town and you must visit the Cathedral.
