Our cruise started in Vancouver, lovely city. We arrived two days early, and were so glad we had that time. Our first port was Victoria. We took a tour to the Bluchart Gardens. This garden is amazing, beyond beautiful, a little taste of what heaven might be like. Our bus driver was knowledgeable, and shared lots of stories about the area. I would highly recommend this port.
San Francisco is a perfect port, as there is so much to do right near the ship, there is no need to sign up for an excursion. I do recommend a trip to Alcatraz, it is fascinating.
