Hamilton is the island/colony capital. We have both been to Bermuda three times in the past 30 years. There has been substantial commercial growth, office buildings housing offshore financial operations. It's easy to get around the island, particularly with the ferries. The buses are comfortable, but the volume of traffic on the roads has increased dramatically even during non-rush hours. The Wednesday evening street fair was entertaining, however we had a late dinner that evening and we only able to catch the waning minutes of the fair.
A quaint town well off from the rest of this compact island. Unfortunately the Veendam had to anchor off St. George and passengers had a 25 minute tender trip to the town wharf. The town has nice gift shops and restaurants, a museum and a cute church. One day was more than sufficient to visit this town.
