Pity, we couldn't find a jewelry store. OK, the joke worked for the comedian. We were the only ship in port most of our visit so that was nice. Red Dog Saloon still clicks as a fun destination. The local bus to Mendenhall Glacier cost us $14 and $3 admission to the interactive information center was a bargain. Mt. Roberts Tram was a bit pricy but the view from the top (before the fogg rolled in) was good as was the ride itself. Lots of tourist traps in town but some good bargains were to be had as the season ended as we departed.
