We had a mini bus trip here to the Rock of Gibralter docking at 9.10 am so the trip began at 9.30.To find seating in the Windjammer was very difficult today so it was a worry we were going to be late for our trip. Tour Guide Frankie and Bus driver Ian did a very excellent job of transporting us to the cable car to the top, and we experienced a very enjoyable tour of the rock etc and Cave of St.Michael and museum. Back to ship for lunch.
As my husband was not very well today with a stomach bug, i had to go on the Cannes trip on my own. We waited on Cannes Dock for which seemed like ages for the coach... one appparently had broken down.. and they had to order another one so were were told to explore Cannes for 45 minutes until the coach came. Went to Grasse perfumery, then on to St Paul a little hill top ancient walled town for lunch which we did on our own. Back ot coach at 2pm driving along Cannes waterfront back to ship with the option of being dropped off into town if you wanted. The ship has tenders for this Port.
Had booked a trip to the Monserrat but did not go as my husband was still ill and confined to his cabin for 24 hours until he had clearance.!
We have been to Barcelona before and found the courtesy bus into the centre a very good way of getting to the La Rambla street for a lovely walk. also there is open decked buses that can take you around the city.
Ibiza.: We again did a tour for about 4 hours here. It was meant to begin at 10.45 but there was such confusion on our bus that it was after 11 am that we started our tour... the bus being overcrowded.. so me, my husband and another couple volunteered to come off the coach and go onto another one/ We eventually set off for a tour of the salt pans and old fortress.. stopping for an unbelievable hour in Ibiza Town on a Sunday for the market.. which we didnt like at all. Relieved to get back on the boat !
