We took a shore excursion to the top of the Rock and see the Barbary apes. They were fairly friendly. We also walked through the Great Siege tunnels and that was very interesting. At the end of the tour we went to the southern tip of Gibraltar to see the northern tip of Africa.
We loved Palma. The first day we took a shore excursion to the Drach caves. This is a must-see experience. It was fantastic. The caves are like no other and the classical music concert in Lake Martell is a memory we will never forget. The 2nd day we roamed around Palma. It is very safe and tourist friendly. We went to Bellvar castle and walked along the harbor. It is just a delightful city and we highly recommend it.
This was our 2nd time in Barcelona. We went to the Sagrada family cathedral which is a must-see for everyone and then to the Picasso museum. I was a bit disappointed in the Picasso museum as it has many of his early works and not too many of his most famous pieces. Our tour guide kept on warning us about the professional pick-pockets. Gaudi's influence is everywhere and it's amazing to see. Barcelona is a great city just be aware and watch your purse.
We took a sore excursion from Cadiz to Seville and it was well woth the trip. Seville is a beautiful city steeped in history and culture. We went to see Columbus' tomb, the Alcazar which is fantastic and then to the Grand Plaza. It's a charming city and everyone is very friendly. The Alcazar is one of those places that you MUST see. It's outstanding if you like art and architecture.
We booked online a private tour with Paolo from Lisbon Explorer and it was fantastic. He is the most knowledgeable guide we've ever met. He knows everything about Lisbon's history and culture and he is so friendly and nice. He even got us a cab to take us to the top of the city when we were feeling tired. Touring with Paolo is like meeting an old friend in a foreign city and trusting him to take you around. I would highly recommend his services to everyone. You won't be disappointed and his rates are very reasonable.
Before going to Heathrow airport we took a shore excursion to Stonehenge. The ride to Stonehenge was just fascinating. We rode through the English forest and the town of Salisbury. It was just charming. Stonehenge was very interesting and fascinating, a sight well worth the trip.
