I used Brooklyn cabs with an efficient on line booking system for the trip from Manhattan to Brooklyn. I would recommend them. Embarkation was largely hassle free but it is an act of faith to leave your luggage at the roadside, but it all worked well. Some travellers had said yellow cab drivers are reluctant to go to the port but there were a goodly number dropping off when we arrived. With so many people inevitably it looks hectic but far less hassle than the average airport
