Very confusing baggage area. Everyone has to get their own luggage into the terminal, but cars, cabs, etc can't get close to terminal. They have to drop you off at a central spot outside terminal. You have to find your own porter. There are no instructions, so you're on your own. Same coming back to port. It's a free-for-all.
no problem. Not too close to stores, etc, but is walkable for the hardy. Plenty of cabs and "rickshaw" type vehicles to take you into town. Area around Empress Hotel is nice and not far from pier by vehicle.
