We visited here on a day when 8 ships were in Port. We had organised a trip round the island with Bernards Tours. Got there 10 mins before due to be there (9.00am) and waited until 10.30 before we got started. We then joined a traffic jam that went all round the island and went to the French side, the airport, and finally to a beach to end the day (the nudist beach was one side and the main beach the other side) to find old men parading around naked just in front of the car park area, and the 'normal' beach was packed solid.

Other people had wonderful experiences of the island, but we really did not seem to see past all the hoards of people.

We loved this island. Booked a tour with Levi Bumpiing, and had a fantastic time. He took around the island and finally ended up snorkling at Champagn Cove. He was a lovely guy, and can thoroughly recommend him. The island was beautiful too, although the roads were extremely rough.

We booked a catermaran trip to see the island by boat and this was with Eli's Eco tours. We had a fantastic time with plenty of opportunity to snorkle and they were lovely people.

Wished we had had more time to look at the island from the inside.

Had a long day here, so booked a catermaran trip with Silver Moon. This was excellent and the people running the trip were really lovely people. We had loads of space on the boat and they took us to swim with the turtles and then snorkle over a ship wreck.

We got back about 2.00 and had a quick freshen up and then took a taxis tour around the island. We were not impressed with the west touristy side, but loved the east side with all the rolling waves and seeing the people for who they are. Really enjoyed this day.

Another island that we truly loved. Took a ship's tour round the island and saw where they made Pirates of the Caribbean. The island is very lush and mountainous.

In the afternoon the tour took us on to a catermaran and we sailed and snorkled. The beach where they took us to snorkle off was very steep and the waves kept knocking us over. I think they would have been better to snorkle off the boat itself. However, the crew were lovely and we all had a great time.

Another lovely island, and again we took an organised ship's trip to snorkle with the stingrays. This was amazing and we had a fantastic time.

Could probably have done this much cheaper from the port, but they really looked after us. However the boat was more cramped than the ones that I have privately organised, and the transport back from the boat left us all a little concerned as to where we were going to end up. However, everything sorted itself out in the end.

A lovely town if you like shopping!
