Busy is what epitomizes Ho Chi Minh City (now called Saigon again), Bike everywhere. It seems like a friendly enough city, but we were only there for a five hour highlight tour. One of the major tourist sites is the markets which are huge. You can get many bargains, but be prepared to be hassled.
Da Nang was the second city call in Vietnam. It was less busy that Saigon, but is gearing up for major resort style offering along it's beach front, which could prove a winner for the residents with the money resorts bring.
The main highlight of the tour was to Hoi An, and quaint "village" with tailors everywhere. Lots of rustic bars and restaurants, and the lunch we had in a local restaurant was superb.
The marble mountain and the marble carving was good. Chisels now replaced with angle grinders, but the results are stunning non the less.
