Interesting beautiful city. Book shore excursions at the pier. City highlights tour was 1/3 the price the ship charged and visited the same places. The excursion ending at Rio airport was worthwhile as we did not have to handle luggage until at the airport.
Stayed here on our own before boarding ship. Very pleasantly surprised. Very pleasant upscale city. Took hop on hop off bus which was good way of seeing a lot in a short amount of time.
Surprisingly interesting city. Tourist officials give out nice walking map of old town area. Feel very safe as police are stationed throughout the walk.
City itself is nice. However, we took a shore excursion on the Beagle Channel to view penguins. The penguin viewing was fine but the trip itself was too long. There was about 3 hours of down time. Some entertainment should be included.
Again, interesting natural areas outside the city. Penguin viewing was good. Downtown area was mostly closed as it was a Sunday. Very windy; which is common for this time of year.
