Nice area to wander around pleasant marina with bars serving reasonable priced beer.You could take a boat trip or look at the souvenir shops.There were quite a few places serving food too.
We did the City Tour and Divers excursion booked via the ship.The guide was very entertaining and it was well worth it as we saw the cliff divers from a good view point.If you can do try to get back to the ship to watch the Mexican Show in the theatre at 3.30pm.The group only performs this while the ship is in Acapulco and then they get off it is a great show.
You have a full day in Costa Rica and we booked an ECo River Adventure trip with the ship tours.This was a great day starting with a coach tour around the countryside a guide gives out quite interesting information along the way. The river trip is well worth doing you get to see the monkeys and several birds crocodiles and then there is a stop for a beer and fruit.When you return from the trip there is time to shop at the open market along the beach area.If you need postcards this is a good place to buy as they are cheap.
We did a city tour by local taxi very good driver.Went to the City Walls and had a look at the statues etc.There are horses and carriages for hire so you can have a tour through the narrow streets if you wish.Some of the buildings are well worth looking at dont forget your camera.
