We always love Grenada but it had changed a lot since we had last been there. You no longer come in down the lovely walk down the Carenage. Would thoroughly recommend a day spent on the beach and at the restaurant at La Sargesse. We often go here a short taxi ride away.
This is the only place where the locals actively turned us away from walking in certain areas. This happened on 5 occasions with different people of all ages. We did go to a wonderful church service for Haiti at the cathedral.
First time in St Vincent and we loved it. The people were very friendly and helpful. We were invited into the catholic school which was interesting and the botanical gardens are a joy.
We did not like Aruba last time, too Americanised - so this time we walked down the front to the Renaissance hotel on the beach and negotiated the use of their sunbeds and pool in return for buying lunch. We had a wonderful relaxing day.
