I like Barbados best to hire a car from the port but try and book in advance, very small island so lots of time to look around, loads of beaches and little beach shack bars West coast is best, you can tour the Rum Factory Mount Gay which is right near the port for much cheaper than doing the tour from the ship which is very expensive. Be aware it is little england and all bank holidays everything is closed.
Get a taxi from the port down to Palm beach for $8 dollars each, loads to do, loads of places to eat, big hotels, places to shop, nice spot, lovely beach.
Very disappointed with this one thought this was supposed to be the main spice island but nothing difference to what you get at home so if you stop at Guadeloupe, get your spices there we wish we had and did not bother at this one.
Very French, get some Euros if you visit here, you will need some as they don't work with the American dollar, if you want to buy spices then this is the island to buy them from.
