We arrived here on a Sunday, so many shops were closed. We opted for the snorkeling excursion and loved it. Amazing waters and more amazing fish. This was followed by a barbecue on a small islet across the lagoon.
The lagoon surrounding Bora Bora is like nothing you have ever seen. We did a circle the island tour and then a snorkeling excursion which also circled the island but via the lagoon. Stunningly warm waters and beautiful fish, stingrays and reef sharks.
People call Bora Bora the Pearl of Polynesia, but Moorea is the most strikingly beautiful place I have ever seen. If you could wrap Moorea with Bora Bora' lagoon, you would have an almost unearthly Paradise. Again, snorkeling here was good, but there were some rough currents the day we went.
