The cruise ship terminal is perfectly located to take advantage of the nearness of the airport, and the beautiful walk along the waterfront with lots of parks and shops.
This is a tender port. There are lots of nice shops and eateries within walking distance of the tender pier. This is a very busy port when more than 2 ships call on the same day. There are also lots of vendors offering private boats for excursions to beaches, ect.
Terminal is very old and in need of renovation. Much of the old section of town is within walking distance. Traffic is very heavy and much of the town is not pedestrian friendly. Many of the close-in beaches are polluted and strewn with garbage.
Excellent shops and eateries within walking distance of the cruise ship terminal. Public bus terminal is very convenient and inexpensive. Even with lots of traffic, it is pedestrian friendly. Excellent snorkeling an easy bus ride away from the terminal. Most of the resident speak English.
