Our St. Thomas tour was a great combination of fun at the beach and island history. After seeing beautiful vistas from the heights of the island, we traveled down to Megan's Bay, and could easily see why it is touted one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic. After swimming, sunning & enjoying the breathtaking scenery, we boarded our open-air bus and went to Blackbeard's Tower where we then toured several installations on foot at our leisure and wound up back in town where we could shop or taxi back to the ship. We'd been to St. Thomas before, but many, many years ago. Our last visit there in the late 80's left us with the impression that it was getting a bit "seedy" due to the drug culture. We were happy to find that had changed and we felt very comfortable; that's nice, because it's really a beautiful island.
