It rained the day we were in Grand Cayman. We walked around and looked in the shops. We then paid $11.50 for 2 6oz milk shakes. We went back to the ship for lunch.
We were not impressed with Cozumel. We did not book an excursion for Cozumel. We were hoping to do some relaxed shopping and sight seeing on our own. This is not possible. You are hounded from the second you walk off the ship. We took a taxi downtown and ate lunch in the Mission Restaurant. It was fun and delicious.. the day was hot and sunny. We went back to the ship and went to the pool. Next time we will do some kind of water tour.
We loved Belize. I booked a tour with cavetubing.com. They were punctual, professional and gave a great informative tour of the city while we drove to our destination, We hiked for 45 minutes through the lush green rain Forrest. It was not as hard as it sounds. We then got into the very cool river and hooked our feet into the tube in front of us and sailed through the pitch dark caves. Oh, they gave us headlights to wear. The bats didn't bother us. LOL.This was an amazing tour. When we came out of the caves they took us to this big straw hut where we could buy a delicious chicken and rice lunch for $5.00. When we were almost to the docks, our driver/tour guide, Evan, stopped at a fruit stand and bought a bag of bananas. He wanted each of us to eat a banana fresh from the tree. I have never tasted such a sweet banana. Our other guide was Doneshia. She was great too. All of the guides were funny and very responsible. They obviously love their jobs. They got us back to the ship with time to spare.
