We enjoyed Ketchikan but our stay there was short, we could have used more time there. We did visit the totem pole village and it was very interesting. We also liked the shopping there.
Juneau was great but we paid over $500 for the 2 of us to go salmon fishing. In all fairness, the trip should have been cancelled because we know now that there was no chance of catching a salmon because they had already run weeks before. So that was an expensive boat ride. We did however enjoy the Mendenhall Glacier and salmon bake that same day.
Skagway was unique and we loved it. We took the train ride on the White Pass Railroad and saw some beautiful scenery. We spent a lot of time afterward in the town and shopping. We had lots of time to do everything we wanted to do there.
