Went with the Dreamers Catamaran Sail and Snorkel, booked through Carnival. Met on the dock and taken over to the boat. Motored out to the entrance of the bay, anchored up and into the water we went.

This was my first time snorkeling, the crew had us newbies sit down while they went over how to use the equipment and the safety rules. Being the first time, things didn't work out very well, but that was nothing to do with the boat crew.

We swam or floundered as the case may be for about an hour, then back aboard, the bar was opened and a slow sail along the coast to Margaritaville.

About forty minutes at Margaritaville to play on the slide and water trampolines, a Red Stripe or two, and then back aboard and back to the dock.

At the dock, we had to go through the terminal and then come back in to clear through security. No hassles there.

Three of our party were late getting aboard because they went to the wrong place in the terminal. The crew waited patiently, and finally went and found them. We were about thirty minutes late getting started, and they added this on at the end of the excursion. Thought that was really good of the crew.

One word of caution, they will make you take your shoes off when you get on the boat - beware of sunburn on your feet.

All in all, a great afternoon. The crew went out of the way to make sure everyone had a great time, and I would definitely recommend it.

We had nothing booked for this day, but from reading these boards, I had decided to go over to Eden Rock for the snorkeling. It was a ten minute walk from the tender dock.

Rented the extra equipment we needed, and a locker to put the stuff in. The ladder into the water was easy enough, but the waves were a little tough getting away. First time out I still had trouble with my gear, and had to come back in.

Decided to give it one more go, and I am so glad I did. Everything came together, and this was the highlight of the cruise. The reef was phenomenal, and the fish were wonderful. I spent about two hours going back and forward, and I am looking forward to going back again.

It was about $20 for the rental of the flippers, float vest and the locker. Nice bunch of people.

When we left, went over to Margaritaville for a beer and some conch fritters. The show there was hilarious, especially the deal with the balloons, just don't take the kiddies.

I really like the Caymans, it is just a great place to go. I looked at flying down there for a couple of days, and what do you know, it's cheaper to cruise there.

We were booked for the "Swim with Dolphins" at Chankanab. Booked this directly through the park and got a really great deal.

Took a taxi from the dock. $10.00 just like they had it posted. We were booked for the 1300 performance, but since we got there at 1030 they offered to let us go for the 1100 show.

I stayed on the dock and took pictures while the three ladies had the time of their lives. The looks on their faces was proof that they were having a wonderful time. They came out of the water, and I don't think their feet touched the ground for the first hundred feet.

Had about thirty minutes snorkeling, good but it wasn't the Cayman Islands. On the other hand, it was much easier getting in and out of the water.

The facilities at the park are excellent, I could have stayed there all afternoon, but the ladies wanted to go shopping. Taxis were waiting right outside the park, off to the pier, buy a couple of offensive T-shirts, a plate of nachos and a beer, and then back to the boat to watch the stagger down the dock.

This is always a fun run ashore.
