Our fist stop was Aruba. We actually didn't find the island that beautiful. Like a lot of the islands Aruba itself seems to be a very poor and some what dirty island until you get down to the ritzy hotels on the beach. The beach was very nice. We did pick a very fun excursion called the Kukoo Kunuku bus trip. It was a sightseeing very decorated tour bus that took us to a few famous places on the island and then to the beach. You shake your maracas and listen to fun music that really gets you in the vacation spirit. This was a very FUN trip.
We found Curacao to be very colorful, CLEAN, and nice. We chose to hire a cab driver to take us around the island. You do this right as you get off the ship. We were assured at the pier this was a very safe thing to do. The cab driver gave us a complete tour and stopped anywhere we asked. We chose to visit the Hato caves which is a big tourist spot in Curacao. The caves were very interesting to see but I must warn you many bats live inside the caves. We then had the driver take us to the beach. The beach was very lovely and it was a nice day.
Our favorite port and excursion by far was St. Thomas. We chose to do the sail boat adventure to Christmas and Honeymoon coves. This was the best excursion we have ever done. We traveled on the pirate ship BONES. The crew was fantastic and mad this trip so much fun. You get on the boat at he pier and you sail away into the beautiful waters of St. Thomas. At the first stop they drop anchor and let you jump off the ship in full snorkel gear. Here you spend an hour and a half seeing the most marine life I have ever seen while snorkeling in the Caribbean. We also saw lots of turtles and sting rays. You then board the ship and enjoy great music and all the rum punch you can handle as you head to the next stop. Once again we drop anchor and are told it is time to swim in to the beach. There is a little motorized dinghy available to take those to the beach that don't wish to swim. Once on the beach we were treated to a barbeque lunch that was fantastic. We then enjoyed over two hours enjoying this beautiful very private beach. There were only a few others on the beach besides our excursion group. We then swam back to the ship and enjoyed a 45 minute sail back to our ship. We were even lucky to see a dolphin swimming along side the ship. This excursion was definitely worth the money. You won't be disappointed.
