We got off the ship around 8:00am and headed to Megan's Bay. It was prefect we were on the beach with maybe 10 other people. The water was clear and the beach was clean. We left around 12:00 to do a shore excursion. We had booked the BOSS underwater scooter excursion threw carnival. This was one of the best excursions we did. The crew on the boat were very helpful and made sure that you were very comfortable in the scooter. They take pictures of you with underwater cameras. After doing the scooter you can also go snorkeling.
Our one rainy day! We got off the ship and walked around port and did some shopping before we decided to take a tour of the island with a cab. The cab drivers are crazy and the roads are not maintained. We were not that impressed with what we saw. Next time we will book the river tubing. In the afternoon we had the Champagne Reef Snorkel excursion. We boarded a catamaran and headed towards the reef. The snorkeling was good and you could actually see the bubbles coming up from the ocean floor.
Got off the boat early morning and headed to town to do some shopping. The port in Barbados is not impressive you just need to take a $4 cab ride into Bridgetown. In the afternoon we had booked the Tami Sail and Turtle encounters. This was also one of our favorite excursions. My only complaint was to many people. We got to see lots of turtles and stingrays. The crew on the catamaran were awesome. After the snorkeling they took us to a private beach where we got to hang out on the beach and swim. This is also when they started to serve the rum punch. Everybody on this boat had way to much rum punch. Also beware of the guys selling coconut palm items. You can not bring these items back. Our coconut palm hat was confiscated with customs.
We booked the catamaran sail to the Pitons. The catamaran was great not to crowded and the views were great. The sail down to the Pitons was about hour and half. They do take you to a private beach for about half hour. We didn't participate in the rum punch because we were still nursing the previous days rum punch. The excursion ended around 1:00 so we headed to Reduit Beach. It was crowded but the water was nice and there were restaurants and beach rentals. This was one of our favorite islands and would love to come back.
First day without a booked excursion. We headed to Dickenson Bay early and rented two beach loungers and umbrella for $15. We did go to Sandals to see about a day pass but they wanted $110 per person but it did include everything but the room. We decided to pass but it looked nice. We did rent jet skis and the loungers from Sneeky Pete. The jet skis cost $45 for half hour.
Our first day where we didn't have anything planned. We decided just to stay in port and do some shopping. The port was very nice. Would have liked to see more of St. Kitts but we were just to tired.
