Small. Definitely. No time to really get to places or soak it up because we were there for only 8 hours or so, and we slept late. Liked the beach, but shopping limited.
Cabs easy to get.

Absolutely go to Atlantis. The beach there includes a public beach, pristine, that can be (easily, legitimately, and expectedly) accessed by walking through the long Atlantis lobby. The walk itself to the beach was tough, but we basically got to walk through a lot of the Atlantis resort and see it as well. Always nice to have a/c, too. Beach was pristine, white sand. However, it was a busy beach, and some trash was strewn. Not much, a little. Almost like the pictures in an ad. Not quite. But nice.
With kids we couldn't spend too much time in port, which was unfortunate. But we enjoyed Nassau.
