My hometown and I only get to visit it once every 10 years or so. Alcapulco's at San Pedro pier was a destination for the M&M and they went out of thier way to make it a great experience for all. How many restaurants will put you in a separate room then do separate billings... wow.
I think this would be a GREAT stop in the summer. We had rain, again, so we put off the Gardens, which we really wanted to see, and only toured the city to buy some gifts and had lunch. Some went Whale watching but no one said they saw a single whale. It's a beautiful city and has its own gardens besides the commercial garden which we heard so much about.
Lunch and the needle and "the Fish Market" were our goals and we did all. Again, the weather didn't cooperate, but we had fun never-the-less. This was an okay port, with many things to do. I'm betting it's also great in the summer.
