We got our own rental car for Aruba, and went to a beautiful beach, it was hard to walk on the sand, because of the coral reefs and slippery sand, but the water is nice and warm. It is not easy to get around, the street signs aren't always there, but the people were friendly that we asked directions from.

My favorite port, we took a guided tour and went to the emerald pool, which is amazing, although the walk there and back can be difficult, but the pool is cold, clear and partially under a cave. Most of the people didn't go in, but I am glad I did. There is a waterfall going into the pool as well.
After that we stopped at a fruit stand run by Mr. Nice who is a very friendly guy and you can try all the fruit you want, of course the fruit is fresh picked so everything tastes better, including some amazing coconut candy.
Then we got back on the van and headed to the river for tubing. You are given a helmet and life vest and tube. The river is not deep and even the rapids are not very choppy, most people didn't flip out of their tubes. There were guys along the whole way to help you if you were hurt or stuck, which happened to me quite a few times. The whole tubing was an hour, the water was warm and clear and it puts any water park to shame. The scenery as you float by is breathtaking as the interior of the island is mostly rain forest. It was my favorite part of the cruise.

We went to Sapphire Beach on the side of the island, it's easy to find a cab or open air tram (like in Disney) to get to the beach, there are chairs. The water is beautiful and warm for swimming or snorkeling, although the snorkelers seemed to be having problems with seagulls diving at their snorkels, which was funny to watch. There were also ducks and iguanas roaming around the hotel grounds. Very nice clean beach.
