Our first stop which I was so looking forward to. We disembarked at 7:30 and only had 5 hours here. How disappointing since nothing opened until later. We took a quick tour of the island on a tour bus- a waste of money. We would have been better off grabbing a taxi. We left the tour at the resort area so we could at least see the beach which was beautiful but being on a time restraint I stuck my foot in the water and we were off to the shopping areas. Great place for jewelry I think this stop should be extended so you could actually see a little of the island.

At this port we had booked a tour to the Popas monastery, the Fort and shopping. Luckily we had an excellent tour guide-Walter (look him up, he was the best) very informative. The view from the monastery is spectacular however you see a lot of poverty on your way. We only had a quick stop at the fort-the vendors were in your face. The newer shopping area was nice-again vendors in your face-great place to buy emeralds, and the store clerks were very helpful. Since we didn't have a lot of time here while I was looking at gems, the clerk got me coffee and cigarettes. Old town-a rat maze to try to do on your own. You could spend hours here at all the little shops but once againnot a lot of time to see or explore anything.

I see this one isn't even listed. Cristobal, Panama and there's a reason it isn't listed. A pit! If you didn't book a tour to get off the ship there was a marketplace at the dock with natives selling their wares, same stuff different stand. The artwork and craftsmanship were beautiful however trying to spend hours in this port_What a waste of time. should have cut down timewise here and spent more time in Aruba or Cartagena

Puerto Limon - Jannygirl's Rating: 2.0

Limon, Costa Rica. We booked a canopy tour at this site. What a great experience. I was a little leery of trying this however our guides were great, I felt safe and this was a once in a lifetime experience I will remember forever. The marketplace and town though again what a pit. Since it was a Sunday, most things weren't open even though I don't think it would have mattered. This place was awful. So Book a tour.

Ocho Rios - Jannygirl's Rating: 4.0

We booked a tour to the botanical gardens, shopping and climbing the Dunn;s River falls. The gardens were beautiful, photo opportunities-plentiful and this would have been great if we wouldn't have had a photographer and videographer following us at every corner trying to hawk their dvd. Climbing the falls was great fun but not for the physically unfit. Walking hand in hand up the falls is quite strenuous and when you have people who aren't physically up to the challenge it makes for quite a work out trying to haul dead weight behind you. When you finish your climb you have to walk through a maze of pushy vendors trying to sell you their crap and drugs to get back to the bus-not fun at all. In the shopping area, if you haven't bought jewelry at any other port, there are great buys here.
