Acapulco is a big, dirty city. We went on a tour right off the boat - $25 for 4 hours. There were 8 of us in a van, which was clean and air conditioned. Went to see the cliff divers, got some great pictures of the bay from high atop a hotel, drove past the resort area, stopped at Senor Frogs, stopped at a "silver factory", which turned out to be a jewelry store, and finally stopped at flea market. Wished we had just gone to a beach, but live and learn.

Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo

Zihuatanejo was nice - went to Los Gatos beach and got nice lounge chairs, umbrella, table, beer, margaritas and lots of great food for about $40 total. Took a water taxi over for about $7 round trip - they were very nice. Convenient to return whenever you wanted.
