We were the first ship in port and tied up at the old Navy base. We were shuttled into town as you are not allowed to walk around on the base. There was an art show going on and we had the opportunity to view numerous artist's work from all over the US. Key West has quite a few sight seeing opportunities if you chose to do so. We have been to Key West before and chose to just walk around and take in the sights.
City is there for tourist. Eveyone wants you to come into their store and buy from them. Only good thing is that you can dicker the price and not spend as much as they want. You can get some really good buys if you shop around.
Actually tendered into Cayo Levantado. Weather was terrible, pouring down rain. After about an hour it stopped and the sun came out. We were told that chairs would be available on the beach, not that we would have to pay for them. Most of the chairs were covered in mildew. Plenty of vendors to dicker with and get good buys. You can only go on part of the island as the other half is owned by a resort and off limits to everyone but guests of the resort.
