Bering Sea Crab Fisherman's Tour Rating: Not Rated

Sort of a Disney recreation of what goes on during a crabbing expedition. The fishermen were personable and gave excellent stories. We loved watching the hundreds of eagles dive for the chum they tossed into the water. This was our second choice, but we were happy with it.

Era Helicopter tour with dog sledding is described above. One tour. Expensive but absolutely worth it.

Era Helicopter tour with dog sledding on the Juneau Ice field was the highlight of our trip. A 20 minute ride over glaciers and valleys is awe inspiring. We loved learning about the dogs and each were able to mush the team for a short distance.

close interaction with an Iditarod participant, a charming girl training for the Iditarod, a highly entertaining tour guide named Madcap Monte , great small independent brewery (we loved the Gold Rush IPA), excellent lunch. You pan for gold and hear the history of the gold rush. You also get to meet and hold future Iditarod dogs. There were about 10 puppies.
