Jewelry was the main experience in town [Charlotte Amelie].

The meal at the old plantation was less than mediocre in quality and setting. The old plantation house was interesting. The time allotted to tour the house was too short. The bus driver and personnel at the plantation house were very pleasant.

Mahogany-carving factory Rating: 5.0 out of 5+

Stop at Mahogany factory was commercial [as expected] but interesting as the pieces are quite fine.

Rio de Janeiro
City Tour Rating: 2.0 out of 5+

Unfortunately the Carnival activities interfered with street traffic and bus did not get to all the sights advertised.

We ended up using the H Stern tour of their Jewelry factory as way to get to Ipanema beach [two blocks away]. Ipanema beach was full of Carnival signing and dancing. The H. Stern van ride was more interesting than the bus tour.

Corcovado Mountain & Christ Redeemer statue Rating: Not Rated

Excellent experience and highly recommended. Carnival traffic hindered bus transportation, a 1 hour ride to Corcovado took 20 minutes on the return trip.

Buenos Aires
Port Rating: 5.0 out of 5+

We disembarked and visited Buenos Aires for a week. A great city with much to see and do. We rented an apartment in Recoleta through VRBO.
Highlights: Recoleta apt., Recoleta Cemetery tour, City tour, Argentine cuisine/beef in Parillas especially Cabana las Lilas, taxis are affordable , Eva Peron Museum, a walk through Palermo parks, Tango lessons and tango @ Salon Canning, Opera house tour, dinner with Argentine friends, tea at Palacio Alvear Hotel ... etc.
I would go back to Argentina and Buenos Aires.
