Great Stirrup Cay
Port Rating: 5.0 out of 5+

Great Stirrup Cay was a fun experience. Although we decided to just lounge on the beach, we had a great day. There is a lot going on so if you are looking for peace and quiet it is probably best to head past the main beach and find a few more secluded loungers. I did rent a snorkel vest and head out to snorkel for a bit. While the snorkeling wasn't phenomenal, there was a bit to see when you get out far enough. I went as far as to see a Barracuda and then booked it back to shore. If I wouldn't have been such a scaredy cat I'm sure I would have seen a lot more. The swimming is very easy with no real current. The beach is a little rocky but there are lots of areas where you can walk around them without hurting your feet. The water was chilly but not bad after you get used to the initial shock. The BBQ was average, basically buffet food on the island.

We decided to purchase tickets to Atlantis Beaches and Aquariums. The Aquarium was pretty cool, a lot of different marine life to see. Believe it or not we never made it to the beaches because somehow we were allowed inside the Aquaventure park, even though we didn't pay for it so we decided to take advantage of that instead.

We had booked a snorkeling trip to Paradise Cove/Deadmans Reef and took a taxi to get there (we missed the shuttle). When we got there the waves were so rough that we couldn't even get into the water so we decided to head over to Port Lacayan instead and walk around.
