A taxi ride to playa Mia $16 USD will give you FREE access to a beautiful beach, beverages and food.

A beautiful tropical port which the cruise industry has modernized with shops and a very clean safe atmosphere. The $12USD price to ride the chairlift directly to the beach was spectacular. The beach was beautiful and also had beverage and food accommodations.

Passengers never made it to this port. Shortly after leaving Roatan (on Tuesday). The captain announced we were headed back to Port due to "fog" in Houston and the possible closing on Friday of the port of Houston. While this may be Princess Cruise lines official statement, few on the ship believed it. We were informed of some ill passengers and there was substantial mystery among the passengers as to what was the real reason we were headed home a day early. When we sailed into Houston and were able to see the news crews and helicopters hovering overhead we all knew it was more than the "non-existent fog".
