Noumea
Port Rating: 1.0 out of 5+
This is our third day at sea, we went to dine at the chop grill the experience was mediocre our steaks were not cooked correctly we asked for one rare steak and medium ,the medium came cooked well done , the rare steak came medium , you must remember all the specialty restaurant our an extra cost on top of your cruise. So far we have dined in the Italian restaurant Giovanni's Indian national pretending to speak Italian and saying buonasera, it is a joke but they are trying hard not their fault senior management. As i am writing this blog ,we are about to dock in Noumea in a industrial & commercial port and unable to walk in town, we must take a shuttle allocated and get tickets on deck 5.The cruise so far hasn't been what the brochures and travel agent describe has a great sailing experience but more of Faulty Towers on the high seas. We arrived in Noumea port which is a commercial port and not a cruise ship terminal at 8.00am as shuttle bus took us near the centre of town to tourist info centre from there you may do what you like not much in town but a walk along to the Baie Des Citrons or Lemon Bay in English and Anse Vata is recommended.

We had lunch at les 3 Brasseurs a brasserie over looking the bay and stop at the local hypermarket Casino in the centre of town the hours flew very quickly before you have get back on board by 4pm.Overall experience is B- do not go shopping this isn't the Paris of the pacific you will disappointed.
