RCI has replaced St. John's Newfoundland with Cornerbrook, Newfoundland. While the cruise up and back in the fiord was scenic the town itself is not worth getting off of the ship. The cruise line must have cut some deal with the government to provide stimulus money by way of the cruise passengers.

"Bah Habah" is the classic Maine tourist town for both cruisers and land trippers. There is lots to see and do whether on a tour or on foot. Bar Harbor is a tender stop. To the city's credit they brought out large sightseeing boats that could accommodate hundreds of passengers. No long waits to get into town. If you are into free wifi (RCI isn't) the park adjacent to the docks and several other sights are available and FREE.

To really see a town like Quebec you must spend a minimum of 3 nights there. There are lots of hotels available, from historic to new. We stayed in the Loews Concord (not historic) but a wonderful view back to old town and across the harbor. It is a few bucks more but well worth it. It is located on the Champs Elysees of Quebec and ideal for spreading out throughout the city. The Hop on, Hop off busses are a great way to see the city unfortunately they do not run enough busses and hopping on after you hop off can be very challenging right up to cut throat. They need to solve this problem.
