Fun and very inexpensive if you don't order too many drinks or a lot of food. Super quiet and bordered on boring because there was only one ship on port. We were going to parasail but kept seeing storm clouds out on the ocean so we didn't chance it. I used wifi all over the beach and at the pool. No one bugged us to buy anything on the beach which surprised me because we go to Mexico all the time. If anything, the workers were kind of aloof but not rude. DS loved the inflatable huge slides and trampolines. Nice start to the beginning of a fantastic week.
Go to Wet Lizards and try the Lobster sliders. Delicious! They don't give you a lot of food for the price, though.
Avoid the shops, except for the Moho chocolate store. All the other stuff looked like it was shipped directly from China. But I stayed close to the chocolate store and Wet Lizards when we were at the port. Nothing looked very nice. Overcast day.
Super crowded but was still in awe of the gorgeous port with the fun chairlifts and free beach. There were folks everywhere on the sand, pier and in the water. But my DS had a blast with friends he made on the boat. DD's life was complete after we found a small area where she could swim with sea turtles when we peddled by on the Aqua Cycles. We also saw Dolphins up close and personal.
Too short! I liked the port but seemed small because two ships were in port. Lots of fun at Senor Frogs and took advantage of free wifi. Also haggled the price down for a huge bottle of tequila after tasting 10 different varieties. LOL
