Quaint little place but, as is most of Norway, very expensive. Commercial port for tourists. The places more rustic were Flam, Voss, Sortland, Kristiansund. A visit on the Flam railway is an experience as is a visit to Voss which was heavily bombarded by the Germans during WW2. also, if there are any history buffs around, the last resting place of the German warship Turpitz was also on the agenda. We even had the experience of an ice bar complete with ice glasses holding our drinks. animal lovers will love the trip to the Alaskan husky kennels where the dogs wait patiently for the snow to come, there are around 300 of them and they are all unbelievably friendly.
