We tendered into the port and caught a local bus, just a few blocks away. We decided to take the CLIFF WALK on our own. The bus takes you about one block away from it, where you can see the beautiful mansions.
The CLIFF WALK was about 1/2 mile on paved walkway. The remaining 4 1/2 miles or so, was more of a rock climbing adventure. The elderly English couple, thought it was nothing out of the ordinary, as they had walking sticks, and hiking boots. They were prepared unlike us!
The scenery was lovely, as well as the day. Unfortunately we weren't as prepared as our English hikers. The trail was quite strenuous for a non-hiker. Some of the rocky areas involved sitting down on a rock and sliding down. Certainly not what I had expected! I guess I should have researched this more! My husband , who is a runner, had no problems!!
My advice is use the restroom before you start and bring along some bottled water as there are no facilities along the way.
It is about a mile WALK on pavement to get back to the bus-stop. It took about 15 minutes to get back to the port ,where plenty of shopping is available.
