This was our favourite port by far! We disembarked the ship and walked to the local beach. LOTS of local drivers offering rides and deals to Atlantis and other areas of the island. If we were going to go again and wanted to see Atlantis I would definitely just get a ride from the locals instead of booking with the cruise line. MUCH cheaper, same result. My youngest found the locals a little intimidating at first, but we reassured him and he got used to it. They are very friendly, some a little aggressive but no one pursued us when we politely refused what the were offering.
The beach was BEAUTIFUL, with several small booths set up selling drinks, snacks, souvenirs, jewelry and clothing. We picked one bartender who served us well all day! It was wonderful talking with him and the other locals about their life there. I got my hair braided by a young woman-one of many offering the service. It was a fun experience, but if you do it make sure you negotiate the price. They always start high!
It was a very relaxing day for us on the beach, exactly what we needed. We would go back to Nassau anytime!

Not really much here. The village opens up when the ships come in, and close up when the ships pull out. There are lots of shops set up to browse and shop for souvenirs, and we did buy a few nice things here. A band played in the gazebo, which was entertaining, but a couple of hours was PLENTY for this port. This would've been a good day to take advantage of reduced pricing at the spa on the ship for a port day. If we went to this port again we'd definitely book an excursion, as there is really not much offered close by.
