Cozumel was an alright stop. It's one of the few areas in the Western Caribbean where you can go off by yourself with no real worries.

This is nothing more than a stop for shopping and excursions. First of all the tender took almost 30 minutes to get to the city, and then once you're there, you're contained to a small fenced off shopping area. If you try to leave the fenced in area you will be told too many times how dangerous it is and that the only safe way to leave is with an excursion group.

Very nice island, but once again it is really only there to sell you things and it also has a small beach you can visit. But we were 1 of 2 cruise ships there so it was very crowded and very uncomfortable. We quickly got off and then back on without seeing too much since it was a hassle.

Other than for shopping and excursions, Costa Maya isn't worth getting off the ship for.
