Cartagena (Colombia)

My husband broke his toe on board during our first night, the bone was sticking out and he needed surgery in Cartagena. The doctor onboard made all arrangements along with a bilingual driver to take us to the best hospital in the city. $3,000 later we left the hospital and made our way back onto the ship to continue our cruise. Fortunately, we DID buy the travel insurance and hopefully will be reimbursed for our expenses. The city did look lovely and we hope to revisit it another time when we're able to explore.

Hot and dry, steep rocky paths to walk along.

California Lighthouse Rating: Not Rated

Just a light house, nothing special.

Island Tour Rating: 5.0 out of 5+

The tour guide was comical, bilingual and a joy to listen to. We gave us much information on his homeland including tidbits such as the cost of living, etc.
