Castaway Cay was great. The little ones enjoyed their day at the beach. I was able to go out for a little snorkel adventure. This island took a direct hit from Hurricane Sandy in 2011. I was saddened to learn that their pirate ship did not survive the storm, as I was looking forward to seeing this ship. I am glad to report that the island is in great shape. The snorkeling area is not bad either. There are corals and sponges that one can see. The highlights were to be able to swim along such a variety of fish and to see the little statues and other man made items left for people to see under water. The food on the island was rather overcooked to say the least.
Key West, the wife loves key lime pie and is a big fan of Bobby Flay (she loves eating at his restaurants as well). So off we go to the Key West Key Lime Pie Company. We tried the regular key lime pie as well as the chocolate dipped key lime pie. After our key lime pie pit stop, we went on a tour of the island via Key West tour train and were able to sees all the highlights of the island.
