Wellington
Cable car Rating: 4.0 out of 5+
Short, and crowded but fun.

City Tour Rating: 4.0 out of 5+
Good look around Wellington in a mini bus, and a ride on the cable car. Lovely city.

Island Tour Rating: 3.0 out of 5+
Was OK. We only did half of the Island. Would have preferred to see more of the island rather than an historic house. Most of the town was closed down as it was a sunday. Would do a different tour next time.

fantastic.

This was really a highlite of the cruise. A fantastic tour with a very funny local guide and then a chance to swim and snorkel with the black tip reef sharks, and rays, followed up with a beach BBQ, with free local beers and soft drinks, and more snorkeling. They were very careful with everyone, and there was someone on a jet ski nearby if anyone got into trouble. It was awesome, and I'd recommend it to everyone. The water is quite shallow, and very warm (29Deg) and very safe.

Snorkeling Rating: Not Rated
We did a combined snorkeling, lagoon cruise, and Motu island trip. All fantastic as above

By the time we got ashore, ( we did customs etc there) most of the tours had left, so we negotiated an island tour with a taxi for $120. Was OK, however he was very hard to understand dispite being in Maui for 33 years! We thought the total was all inclusive, however Charlie hit us up for a tip at the end! We had lots of rain there which apparently is a bit rare for that side of the island. Quick visit to the ABC shop for a $2 rain coat. Actually was quite cold.

We left the beautiful Radiance in Honolulu. We found our bags OK, and just intended getting a shuttle to our hotel, but following the signs to the shuttles, found that unless they were pre booked, they weren't allowed into the port. We had to line up for ages to get a cab, with people jumping the que etc.

Anyway, we eventually got there and had 5 lovely days before heading home with Jetstar. Just a tip with them as well. Pre book your seats, otherwise you will be sitting all over the plane. We were very late into Sydney due to the planes late arrival, and assured that

our connecting Jetstar flight would be aware of ths, and not go without us.... yeah right! We made it, but after losing our booked seats , and a poor attitude of the check in lady. After the facts were pointed out quite firmly, the money was refunded, and we made the flight.
