Bergen is one of Norway's largest cities. There was more to do than we had time for. There is no need to pay for an excursion here. We headed to the tourist information centre then on to the funicular. This was well worth doing. There was a bit of a queue but it didn't take long to pile into the crammed carriage and make our ascent up the mountain. The views were spectacular and there was plenty of space to wander around at the top. We also walked arooud Bryggen which was interesting and very photogenic. There are some nice shops in Bergen. Make sure you take a converter so you don't overspend.
