There isn't much here. It's an old, run down area and everywhere you turn there's someone with their hand out asking for money for doing close to nothing.
Hubby and I decided to walk to the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle. It wasn't a long walk for anyone who lives a regular, active lifestyle. There were parts we had to walk where there were little to no sidewalks. Once we got there we were harassed by people trying to give us the history of the area. We ignored them. Had a great view of the ships at dock from the top of the hill. After that we walked toward the ships and came across Graycliff which is a little resort off one of the main streets. It's secluded and very beautiful. The workers invited us to walk the grounds and I'm glad we did. Lots of birds, flowers, beautiful tiled pool. They also have a small cigar factory and chocolate factory on their grounds.
In the afternoon we went to Junkanoo beach which is a short walk from the ships. The beach is ok, sorta noisy and I think that's where I got a bunch of bites from sand flies or mosquitoes.
