Excellent beach, facilities, 2 loungers and large parasol for $15 including 3 half price drink vouchers. 2nd visit wasn't so good as too many touts on beach. There was another cruise ship in loaded with Americans.
Island Tour Rating:
Excellent 3 hr tour of Barbados for $25 each. Did west coast thro' posh areas then scenic east coast going down onto beach. Returned back to Bridgetown with views over south and Fort George. Driver did try to take us to an Abbey but the $17 entrance fee was a No/No.
This was our 2nd visit. The 1st time we took an independent tour of both the French & Dutch sections followed by a rest on the lovely Grand Bay. During our recent visit we walked around Grand Bay to visit Fort Amsterdam which was very interesting as we could view pelicans nesting. Then walked down onto Little Bay which was excellent in that it was so peaceful compared with Grand Bay.
Was put off this island by the oil refineries dotted around. Maybe a tour would have helped but in general thought this place rather tatty for a Dutch island.
